Germany's trade surplus up to €3.7B in September

Germany's calendar and seasonally adjusted trade surplus stood at €3.7 billion in September, up from €1.2 billion documented in the previous month.

Exports amounted to €134.5 billion in September 2022, down 0.5% from the month prior and 20.3% higher compared to September 2021. Meanwhile, imports declined by 2.3% monthly and by 30.7% annually to €130.8 billion in September 2022.

Germany's imports from other European Union countries decreased by 1.2%, and exports to those countries declined by 1.7% in September compared to the month prior.
