European stock exchanges aim to extend the positive trend of the last month (+ 0.65% the Dax, + 0.30% the Cac40, + 0.40% the Ftse100 and + 0.44% the Ftse Mib after it gained 5% last week) and opened the session up again supported by the below-expected US inflation data fueling hopes for a less aggressive Fed.

Supporting the rally in the markets, as mentioned, was the data on the more marked slowdown in US inflation which gives hope for a less aggressive Fed in raising rates. An increase of only 50 basis points is now estimated at the December meeting.
