Speaker Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy have reached an agreement on the debt ceiling. Now the proposal will go to lawmakers for approval. The agreement will suspend the ceiling until the first of January 2025 to avoid a U.S. default. 
Trading returns to Wall Street after Memorial Day. Futures indicate an upward opening. Nasdaq gains +1.30% in pre-market.
Turkish lira tumbled to record lows after Erdogan's election victory. Turkish lira is trading at 20.15 against the greenback.
Some European stock markets recover this morning's loss and return to positive territory. Milan's FTSE MIB +0.54%, Paris' CAC -0.48%, Madrid's IBEX +0.37%, London's FTSE -0.58%.

Forex & Commodities

The EURUSD cross trades +0.08% at 1.0730. Cable trades at +0.71% at 1.23430. The dollar after reaching 104.50 began its correction benefiting other currencies. Oil trades around 71.36 losing $1 compared to this morning (-1.70%). Gold trades at 1974 dollars (+0.54%).

Asia's markets traded upward. The benchmark index, Tokyo's Nikkei closes registering +0.30%. China's Hang Seng index +0.24 %. Futures indicate an upward opening. Nasdaq gains +1.30% in pre-market. The S&P 500 +0.57% and the Dow Jones -0.04%.
